Vanity in Vain

The last few days my laptop has been in a damaged state , to sum up a long geeky sounding story so the time i spend online going through random stuff on the net went into wondering and noticing things i usually never do. So i noticed the eyebrows were too perfect, i asked if it was real so she replied no she had got it done at the parlour, intrigued and jobless, i enquired more.

Before i move on let me tell you more, i have never had a sister and i never noticed my female friends with these modifications to their bodies/ faces, i preferred staying lost in my own world ,so this was something new to me. Moving on !

I was briefed upon the field of cosmetics in 5 minutes, that night while getting my goatee tied by another female friend i asked more about these things and she gave me a detailed information,i have to admit that by this time i was in a state of shock because a whole industry existed right in front of me, dedicated to changing the way females look, whole research departments coming up with new smells and colours and creams and gels to change them into something else, something artificial and unnatural. On asking all my female contacts whether they went to parlours, i was shocked with a 100 % yes answer, imagine an industry which every female of almost every age spends on and supports (unlike sanitary pads), imagine the revenue it generates and the reach it has.
Shocked and shaken, i decided to know more, soon i found more about face packs, threading, foundations, nail polishes, waxing, shaving, hair gels, skin creams, softners, conditioners to name a few. On asking a particulary cautious female why she would do all this, her answer was because its therapeutic properties ,i agree with feet in hot water, but threading is painful and i don't want to imagine waxing ,forget trying it ! The notion of spending 75 bucks on skin cream then wasting it on foosball or a movie seems ridiculous to me.
In my view the therapy theory is a desperate answer in order not to admit the fact that females do it to gain an advantage in the race for a better mate. Its a slap on the face of feminists who say that females won't be dominated by men anymore by their own kind (i like it becuase i hate feminists, all they do is yap and yap and no actual work).Think about it; if you are a female watching TV eating chips and suddenly you want to get hair removed or your eyebrows modified because you don't like them. Does this seem natural to you ?
In my opinion ,its a habit of submitting to the popular looks passed down by mother to daughter and sister to sister and thus it continues. So while engaged in this debate, another female asks me if i would have a girlfriend with a unibrow, hairy pits and legs etc for a girlfriend ?
Due to my experiences in life, i don't really go according looks (many people say it but do quiet the opposite, specially the good looking ones say so), so i really wouldn't mind as long as we get along fine.
Some females said that they weren't following men's desires but men were following them, for such answers, my only suggestion is to wear pheromones and walk into a boys' hostel in skimpy outfits.
To sum it all up in the words of the lord and master FOAMY: "One day i will wake up next to my wife wearing no make up and gasp, 'who the hell are you '?"
You might consider me queer for preferring natural and real looks over the parlour ones or you might agree with me that either way, males and females will keep on doing it and this post will be a waste of time and internet space.
